Kathi Kolb first learned about photography in her father’s darkroom at
the age of seven. At age ten, she earned her first dollar as an artist
drawing portraits at a family cookout. She studied drawing and
painting at the Massachusetts College of Art in her twenties, then
went on to get a more "practical" college degree. In her late thirties,
she began to dabble with photography, and five years later, took it up
as a serious medium.

 Since then, her work has appeared in numerous juried shows and
exhibits, and has won several prizes. She is a member of the Mystic
Art Association, the Wickford Art Association, and the Photo Guild of
