    Katherine Patric was born in the Adirondacks Mountains in 1954. She has lived in various places, including
    California, Newfoundland, and the Falkland Islands, and now lives in Narragansett, Rhode Island. All her life she
    has loved the natural world and her activities demonstrate that. Katherine enjoys surfing, cruising under sail,
    hiking and birdwatching.
    In her paintings she attempts to reflect her love of beauty and nature. She works in oils and is self taught.
    "Painting is relaxing and almost a form  of meditation for me. Sometimes the beauty of creation overwhelms me."
